Dr. Andreas Kolch has worked in senior positions in the water treatment sector for many years. Before he founded Hytecon, where he is a Partner and Managing Director, he was responsible for Research and Development for Wedeco GmbH; and was Head of Development, Senior Vice President and Board Member of ITT Wedeco. In this position he was responsible for a variety of Ozone and UV treatment product launches. In addition he represented the company for all technical aspects within the investment relation arena and led numerous technical due diligence and M&A projects. Furthermore he was responsible for the companies patent portfolio strategy. Dr. Kolch completed his Ph.D. in microbiology at the Institute of Hygiene and Public Health in Bonn, Germany. He has a Green Belt in Six Sigma from Michigan University and received additional professional qualifications from Boston Consulting in the USA and Ashridge College in the UK.
He was President of the International Ultraviolet Association from 2005-2007. Since May 2011 he operates the IUVA hub office for the EMEA region. He serves on the editorial board of the Journal Ozone Science & Engineering, the Journal of the International Ozone Association and on the technical advisory panel of APTwater Inc., CA.
