General Manager; Complex, cross-domain problem solver; Analytics for marketing, web, social networks
Frankfurt Am Main Area, Germany
Social Media is often touted as a buzzword -- yet few true strategists approach this complex area with a basis in analytics geared towards maximizing Return On Investment, both short-term (campaign-based) and long-term (brand evangelism).
My approach is based on solid web analytics -- I moderate the Web Analytics Forum, where 5000+ global analytics professionals exchange best practices, and am a member of both the Marketing and Social Media committees of the Web Analytics Association.
My social media experience includes over 15 years of management of the internal best practices "Sysop Forum" on CompuServe from the late 1980s, where the pre-web pioneers of the internet created online communities, many of which still thrive in new forms and across multiple social network technologies.
As a general manager and problem solver, I attempt to address highly complex, cross-domain business issues, creating value for organizations of many different types by combining strategic and functional expertise in technology strategy consulting, web and marketing analytics, social networks, telecom network engineering, investment management, broadcast television news software, knowledge management, and education.
I am happy to forward connection requests, so please do not hesitate to ask.
