I love talking to the people who are using our software to hear their ideas and use their experiences to contribute to product development. I have a knack for recognizing valuable feedback and getting more of it, and I'm inspired by the people who come to care as much about our project as I do.
While I'm not an engineer myself, I'm eager to learn about and understand the technical side of things and I enjoy working closely with engineers. I make a great link between engineers and designers because I know how to listen to each of them.
At Platial I have done a wide range of work, from product development and front-end architecture to customer service. I mange projects and act as release manager. I enjoy juggling several inter-related tasks and I always push my limits.

Platial. Collaborative web and mobile social mapping platform, Director of Community and Product, Portland, OR & Boston, MA, November 2005-Present.
Wrote front-end specs for designers and engineers based on decisions made with the product team. Synthesized user desires, designers’ expertise, and company resources to manage an extremely rapid release schedule, usually updating the site weekly.
Managed a remote team of up to six consultants and employees to meet product goals. This included resolving development issues, prioritizing and juggling multiple tasks, managing feature releases, all the way through to quality assurance and deploy.
Recruited and hired consultants on an as-needed basis.
Handled all communication with users, including customer service, forums, and community outreach. Tracked user feedback into charts and goals which I communicated to the entire team.
Organized 30 power users into a Beta Tester Club which helped guide product development. Taught the Beta Tester Club to write bug reports and rewarded members for help with quality assurance before launches.
