Games Designer at Acony Games
Freiburg Area, Germany
I have worked as a games designer, creative writer, editor, customer service manager and community manager in the games industry for over ten years. I have a lot of applicable experience to many different roles including community management, project management and systems design.
I am always looking for an opportunity to use my creative skills and my theorycraft in a games environment.
Prototyping systems, communicating design concepts, aggressive editing to prevent ambiguity.
I am a good communicator with a strong understanding of mechanical design elements in game systems.
I write non-fiction and technical pieces as well as more creative work. I enjoy being in a position where I can use my communication and design skills in the games industry.

Lead English Community Manager and head of CS for the English language Dark Age of Camelot servers in Europe.
I started as a games master and within a year was responsible for the entire English language team. I was responsible for ensuring the quality of customer service to English speaking DAoC subscribers as well as managing the small team of GMs.
I also took it upon myself to widen the scope of community management at Goa and worked hard to provide a more direct and more focussed level of communication between Goa and the European DAoC fans. Towards the end of my tenure, this was practically my main focus.

I started in Games Development, writing rules, colour text, articles and non-fiction as well as playtesting, prototyping and developing rules and background for a variety of projects. I was made redundant during a cost-cutting purge but managed to find another job with the company.
After leaving Games Development I bounced around other GW departments including White Dwarf where I worked as a writer/DTP/photographer/editor before leaving the company in early 2000.
