CTO of high-tech company
I've been active in the VoIP innovation area since about 1998. I began my carreer at research labs Fraunhofer Fokus in Berlin, Germany. The key result of my work in Fraunhofer in addition to several publications was a popular open-source SIP server, SER, www.iptel.org/ser/. SER software formed a technological foundation for the company I started in 2004 in Berlin, iptelorg. The company was later (2005) acquired by Tekelec. I've assumed AVP position in Tekelec then while preserving Managing Director positions within iptelorg Berlin-Germany and Prague-Czech Republic.
Constantly, my interest has been to have joy at work by doing hi-tec work advancing technology significantly. With SER, there are today millions of users worldwide making VoIP calls every day, several projects (such as openser) began to create derivative work, and many companies base their strategy on SER. I'm looking forward to expanding this impact.
