Gernot Preslmayer’s Summary

I'm a London based Graphic Designer and Creative Consultant with over ten years of professional experience that ranges from all stages of branding and identity design work to advertising and direct marketing.

While working for Landor, Greenspace and The Brand Union I have brought to life brands such as Toyota in Europe, BP, Nokia, Batelco Bahrain, Innovene and Permanent TSB. Such high profile corporate work has not changed my passion to create quality design work. I’m an ideas driven conceptual designer with both feet on the ground.

Though my main experience is working with global and inter-cultural clients I find locally based and social brands also really exciting. I’m interested in exploring the relationship between real life situations and the brands/design environments around us, is it climate change awareness, urban design, the health sector or the promotion of local arts and communities.

  I’ve been one of the lead creatives at Greenspace during and after the start-up phase in 2007, where I primarily worked on the new visual identity for Toyota Europe, including the design and art direction of a bespoke typeface. My relationship with Greenspace then continued as a project based freelance designer until the end of 2008.

  At The Brand Union in Dublin I was responsible for the creation of the Permanent TSB bank brand and Reachservices, Ireland’s public services broker in my roles as Middleweight and Senior Designer in a team of three. Other clients include The Results Group, Desireland, Eircom, Vodafone and Bank of Ireland Group.
